Originally I obtained a $1000 LG 47-inch 3D 1080P 120Hz model which obviously showed significant artifacts, this kind of as a weird pixelation that seemed to surround persons and objects when moving. So I observed this $400 Toshiba 40E220U 40-inch 1080p 60Hz model and wow, I am so extremely content with it! The picture quality is just superb. When viewing 1080P footage by way of ROKU from either Netflix or Amazon Prime I am astonished through the premium quality which is getting streamed, not specifically Blu-Ray quality but great nevertheless. That mentioned, when viewing Blu-Ray, DVDs, even 1080i, the colors are deep, there’s no botchiness (yet another artifact of that LG model when viewing a dark screen) as well as entire image has an exceptionally high level of clarity.
This Toshiba doesn’t have 3D but I’m not sure 3D designs are quite as much as par yet. They might do 3D very well ample but when non-3D viewing is effected due to the engineering essential to do both, well that’s no superior. In any regard the number of films and handful of instances I observed myself utilizing 3D with that LG model just did not warrant a $600 boost. Don’t know for sure why the LG had this kind of poor image top quality when viewing regular programming, but I do know a terrible picture when I see it.
This is a no-frills Toshiba 40E220U Tv — except for the image good quality — and at $400 or much less it is golden.
