Henry St Clair And The Discovery Of America

Is it possible that ahead of Christopher Columbus exploring America, a laird of Scotland beat him to it?

Evidence suggests that the Earl of Orkney, Prince Henry St Clair (later Sinclair), established a colony in Nova Scotia (New Scotland) in modern-day Canada. The Earl of Orkney was a member of the St Clair family who arrived in Britain along with William the Conqueror in 1066, as well as their family was one of the more renowned both in England and Scotland.

We first read about the colony in the New World from a group of manuscripts written in Venice in 1558 by Nicolò Zeno.  This is called the Zeno Narrative. It had been claimed that the Zeno Narrative was based on the letters between 2 brothers, Nicolò and Antonio Zeno, and their expedition to the ” New World ” in the late 1390s with a Prince of Scotland who they referred to as Zichmni.

The Zeno Narrative was first reported as a genuine account in the 1780s by Johann Reinhold Forster, who was a friend of the great explorer Captain Cook.

Continuing up to the present day we have seen a growing body of evidence to verify the claims of the Zeno Narrative.

There are numerous controversial discoveries that provide credence to the hypothesis, such as the Westford knight (a medieval knight etched into a stone) and the Newport Tower (a structure in the northern European form on Rhode Island).  These help support the concept that America was located long before Columbus. Rosslyn Chapel, near Edinburgh in Scotland was started in 1446 by the grandson of Prince Henry called Sir William St Clair of Roslin.  Inside Rosslyn is actually a carving of a plant which was only to be observed in the as-yet-supposedly undiscovered America, but here’s proof.

The Micmac people, natives to Nova Scotia, talk about legends of a man who journeys across the oceans to the east and settled with the locals.  According to the Micmacs the man from the east was called Glooscap, but many have identified him with the Earl of Orkney, Prince Henry St Clair. It’s also entirely possible that the expedition to the New World was making use of ships from the old Templar fleet, as there are numerous connections between Prince Henry and the Knights of the Temple.
