Bed bugs are insects that drink blood from other creatures. Amongst the various types of bed bugs found, there’s one type that feeds off the blood of human beings. Bed bugs can be found in various places, including on mattresses, books, clothes, curtains, carpets, wooden furniture, and sofas. They generally come out during the night to feed on their hosts. When they’ve finished drinking your blood, they scurry away so that when you wake up, you again can’t find them.

The cleaning calls for thorough inspection, and you need to clean every item in your house, and empty out closets and drawers and scrub and clean them properly.

Kill all bed bugs you see by using rubbing alcohol or bleach or call a pest control service. After scrubbing and cleaning your house properly, dispose of the dirt carefully outside your house. Use a commercial pesticide, but be careful to read directions before using it, as they contain chemicals that can be harmful to you or any pets in the house. Call a professional exterminator if in doubt.

Insecticides that come in a variety of forms can also be used to kill bed bugs. They come in the form of bed bug spray, powders, aerosols, etc. Be careful when using any of these products and make sure you read and follow the instructions that comes with it. Make sure you don’t miss any nooks and crannies. Turn the furniture and make sure that the insecticide reaches every part of every item in your house. It is best to get rid of any infested items.

You should inspect again for bed bugs after a few weeks. Call a professional if you’re unable to get rid of the bed bugs yourself.
